Commissioned to be the subject of a Channel 4 documentary on young people’s theatre.
EXTRA INFORMATION:
Channel 4 approached Steven about filming the casting, rehearsing and performance of a school play. The documentary was to focus on the team work necessary to produce a successful production. Channel 4 wanted something “different/unusual”. Using the expertise of FAULTY OPTIC, an internationally renowned puppet company, Steven wrote a play about the Pendle witches. The three main characters, Chattox, Demdike and Lizzie, were portrayed by life-sized puppets.
